So I risked a few quid on a cleaning spray and gave the MAF sensor a bit of a blast. And now the engine is smooth and quiet. All of the issues have disappeared and it's my new tractable and quiet friend, i.e. it's how a Mondeo 2.0 TDCi should be. It's such a great drive. Running round my local B roads, it manages somewhere between 24 and 28. Faults in the wheel speed sensors usually put the ABS light on and raise suitable DTCs, so they seem to be ok. Maybe the fault is in the ABS electronic module, or in the wiring or connector. However the PCM and/or IC are reading data from the ABS ok to get vehicle speed. The price of £225 is extremley good value when you compare it to other tuners. Marks got a stonking 176bhp and i've got as near dammit 170bhp. High pressure fuel pump on a 07 plate mk4 2.0 tdci is on the right hand side (with bonnet up looking at engine bay) on the end of the cam shaft it is only held on with three bolts and a couple of diesel pipes easy to change i just got one for £45.
